Hello and thank you for visiting out site! We are three generations of farmers and agribusiness folks working together under the umbrella of “Sanderson Ag.” Our family has lived and worked in the DeKalb County, Illinois area for several generations.

The first Sanderson’s immigrated to the United States from Norway in 1843 and homesteaded in the local area of Lee, Illinois. We have been involved in farming and agribusiness ever since.

Our family has a very strong conservation philosophy. We feel it is our duty to be stewards of the land, leaving a legacy to future generations.  We believe in “leading by example” in hopes that our children and grandchildren continue to appreciate the gifts that nature provides and that they realize that the conservation practices that we have put in place on our land today are meant to preserve the land for them and their families for generations to come. In 2010, our family was very honored to receive the State of Illinois Governor’s Award for “Conservation Farm Family of the Year!”

All three of our generations have been active in church, community and volunteer agriculture activities through out the years. Such activities include 4-H, FFA, Farm Bureau Board, DeKalb County Young Farmers, Farmers Grain Co. Board, Pork Producers Board, Beef Producers Board, Corn Growers Board, Collegiate FFA, Collegiate NAMA, Ag In The Classroom, and church council, just to name a few.
